Privacy

This page explains what data The Daily Numbers collects, where it is stored, and how it is used. The short version: almost nothing leaves your device.

What We Store Locally

To remember your puzzle between visits, The Daily Numbers saves a small amount of data in your browser's local storage:

  • The current puzzle grid, the list of numbers to place, and the solution
  • Which digits you have entered so far
  • Your selected difficulty (Very Easy, Easy, Medium, or Hard)

This data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to any server. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Cookies & Analytics

The Daily Numbers itself does not set marketing or advertising cookies. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for anonymous usage measurement — page views, traffic sources, popular difficulty levels, and similar aggregate metrics. GA4 may set its own cookies in your browser for this purpose. Your IP address is anonymised by GA4 before processing. Third-party services embedded on the site, such as Google Fonts and Amazon Associates links, may also set cookies on the domains they serve. You can opt out via your browser's analytics-blocking extensions or by clearing this site's cookies.

Amazon Associates

The Daily Numbers participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When you click a product link on this site and make a purchase on Amazon, Amazon may share certain information with us (such as the fact that a purchase was made) for commission tracking purposes. We do not receive your personal information, payment details, or order specifics. See the Affiliate Disclosure for more detail.

External Links

This site contains links to external websites (primarily Amazon.com). We have no control over the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party sites. Once you leave The Daily Numbers via a link, you are subject to that site's own privacy policy and terms of service.

If we update this notice, the changes will appear on this page. The site has no mailing list and does not collect contact information, so we cannot notify readers individually.
